Getting the Most Out of Your Advertising

Today, we want cover some things that will help you
best use your time and money while promoting on the
Internet.
The first thing you need to understand is:
Everybody promoting on the Net is your competition.
Most advertising on the Net is people advertising to
you in hopes you will join their business. They are
more interested in you seeing what they have to offer,
rather than you seeing theirs. So, you have to have
an edge.
If you want to make money on the Net, you need to
stand out from the crowd and get your site seen
fast. How do you do that?
1) Splash pages - splash pages are very short pages
used in traffic exchanges that load quickly and
get to the point quickly. They usually don't give
many details about what you are promoting, but
arouse curiosity so that a surfer will click a
link to get more information. These are very easy
to make and require minimal HTML skills. There are
even programs to help you do this. When I first
started making them, I used Outlook Express and
then saved the code as a web page
2) Branding - this goes along with splash pages.
Branding means that you show something over and
over until potential prospects/customers/buyers
become familiar with you. Branding can involve
a picture of yourself, a logo, a slogan, or all
of the above, and more. This is VERY critical!
3) Lead Capture Pages - again, all of these are
intertwined. Lead capture pages are pages that
inspire a viewer to request more information.
This is important because you want to have the
ability to contact someone several times to
share your opportunity/information with them.
Remember, they need to hear from you about 7
times on average before you get a response.
Lead capture pages always have an autoresponder
form that 'captures' their email address and
other information, then sends them your message
in regular intervals; daily, weekly, etc.
We very much appreciate your Traffic Roundup membership.
Please let us know if you have any questions or problems.
